Welcome to Sim Shalom Progressive Jewish Congregation!
Sim Shalom (or Szim Salom in Hungarian) is a member of World Union (WUPJ) and European Union (EUPJ) for Progressive Judaism. Sim Shalom, 30 years old now, was the first Progressive Jewish congregation in Hungary, with historic Reform presence in Hungary already in the middle of 19th century. You can learn more about our roots and history here.
As of October 24, 2024, we are delighted to host our programs at Sim Shalom’s new synagogue, located at 32 Kertész Street in Budapest’s 7th district, within the old Jewish quarter.
