Sacharit service with Torah reading and Torah shiur followed by Kiddush (every second week from 10.30 am)
Torah Circle (biweekly from 10.30 am) – adult’s study group

Talmud Torah (biweekly)
For children between 6-13, in two age-groups
- Preparation for Bar / Bat Mitzvah
- Hebrew Alphabet: writing and reading
- Experience of the tradition: Torah stories, Jewish holidays
- Complex methods: music, dance, handicraft and dramatic plays
Monday
Pancake, the Torah and Us
Rabbi Katalin Kelemen’s regular program with the youth group (16+) from 6 pm
While eating homemade pancakes, they study the traditional Torah texts and try to find answers for issues and questions of their generation (love, friendship, Jews and Nonjews, relationship with the outside world, commitments, eco-kashrut, etc.).
Wednesday

1. Jewish Spirituality – Basics of Judaism
Topics: holidays and weekdays, Jewish symbols, objects and rituals in the Synagogue, the world of prayers, life-cycle events, texts of Jewsih tradition
2. Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers)
Studying Mishnaic texts by Rabbinic and modern commentaries
Thursday
Classical Hebrew Course (for adults)
Learning the basics of classical Hebrew with verbal and written exercises, preparation for precise Torah reading, learning how to use the classical Hebrew dictionary. (Lead by Kata Balogh liberal arts teacher and linguist)

Jewscope
Sim Shalom’s Film Club is open for everyone, screening Jewish-themed or Jewish-related films by various artists and from many countries of the world. The program ends with vegetarian potluck dinner and a conversation about the characters, the story and the message of the movie.
Sounds of Tales / Mesezengő
Program for preschool-age kids with handicraft activites, telling tales and a lot of singing.
Arts and Crafts Club
Everybody loves to do crafty things! We help our interested members to tap into their creative sides and discover how many different ways there are to express themselves. We create beautiful items by silkpainting, glasspainting, claying, cross-stitching and crocheting.
